If your Aadhar Card, Family ID, Voter ID, or address proof shows a Srinagar address, your new vehicle registration (Commercial Vehicle, Three Wheeler, Construction Equipment, or Bus) will be processed under BR-11.

The applicable RTA/registration code depends on your residential address and registration jurisdiction — not simply the location of the dealership.

REAL-LIFE SCENARIO

Purchasing from a dealer outside Srinagar? If you live in Srinagar, your vehicle will still be registered as BR-11.

BEFORE ACCEPTING DELIVERY

Carefully verify the name, address, vehicle model, variant, chassis number, invoice details and insurance information. Ask the dealer to correct any errors before completing the delivery or registration process.
